Our Roots

Our History

Born from deep roots and strong family dedication, this winery is the result of a long journey that began in the 19th century when the Miotti family started cultivating the hill of Santa Lucia in Breganze. Later, it was Firmino who inherited the land from his grandfather Pietro and his father Francesco, turning it into a life’s project. From the very beginning, work in the vineyards has been guided by a profound respect for peasant traditions and a constant pursuit of quality.

Our tradition

This focus on biodiversity has made the winery a benchmark for those seeking wines connected to history and local identity. Even while gaining recognition at the national level and participating in international events such as Vinitaly, its hospitality has remained warm and familiar.

With the arrival of the daughter, the winery has introduced modern visions and innovative techniques, such as aging in wood, expanding its markets while remaining faithful to its mission: to produce wines that tell an authentic story, where tradition and innovation meet.

Memorable Memories

Firmino Miotti is a figure who embodies the deep bond between tradition and modernity, between land and culture, and above all, between friendship and passion for rural life. Originally from Breganze, a small town in the province of Vicenza, Firmino dedicated his life to managing the family winery, carrying on his father’s work with great love for the land and a firm belief in recovering local grape varieties. But what sets him apart is not only his talent as a winemaker, but also his ability to build deep human connections, such as those with his dearest friends, especially with Virgilio Scapin.

la nostre colline

Here, viticulture has never been just a trade, but an art—a daily commitment made of care, patience and passion. The winery has managed to preserve the authenticity of ancient knowledge, passed down from father to daughter, while intelligently embracing modernity, with techniques and visions capable of enhancing the product without compromising its soul.

Among the distinctive features of the winery stands the protection of ancient local grape varieties that had almost disappeared, such as Gruajo, Pedevendo, Marzemina bianca (also known as Sampa’ or Sampagna), and Groppello—authentic expressions of the Breganze territory.

Firmino, the Winegrower

Firmino Miotti

Firmino was still a young man in the 1950s when he found himself having to take up his father’s legacy, after his premature passing. With courage and determination, he took the reins of the family winery, sinking his hands into the very soil that had nurtured generations before him. Since then, he has never stopped caring for it with an almost visceral dedication. The skills learned from his grandfather—the art of pruning, respect for the vine’s natural rhythms, attention to detail— have remained intact, like a precious inheritance. And yet, Firmino also knew how to look ahead, embracing change and experimenting wisely, to offer his customers not just a wine, but a story to savor: that of a tradition living in the present with the same authenticity as in the past.

Franca Miotti

His daughter Franca became a sommelier in 1992 and began training as a taster. After earning a degree in Political Science with an economic focus from the University of Padua, in 1996 she joined the family winery, initially working in the commercial sector. In 1997 she deepened her knowledge with courses in viticulture and oenology at the École d’Œnologie of the University of Bordeaux II in France, as well as courses in tasting and panel testing. From the 2000s onward, after attending the Special School of Oenology at the University of Padua in Conegliano, she has been steadily dedicated to working in the cellar, where today she serves as manager, combining expertise, passion, and vision.
